I'm James, and I make videos.

I should probably expand on that.

I'm a videographer, editor, and production manager with over a decade of experience making creative and engaging content. I've worked in film and documentary, on marketing campaigns, for nonprofits and educational institutes, and more freelancing clients than I can count. I love telling any kind of story, and my ability to make a piece stand out comes through whether you're an IT company wanting to show off cutting-edge software or a local band who needs a quick and dirty music video.

In my off-time, I'm a nerd through and through. I play and design board games and short-form RPGs, collect books and records, and travel the country to compete in Magic: the Gathering tournaments. I also love the outdoors and enjoy bouldering, hiking, and camping. I've set up shop all over the country, but currently my home is in Albuquerque with my wife and our two dogs.

Something I love about my career is that whether I'm freelancing or full-time, I'm constantly surrounded by other creatives. Working in video is a group effort, and it's inspiring to collaborate with a team where we share different perspectives, help hone our skills, and push ourselves to make compelling, high quality content.
