I'm James, and I make videos.

I should probably expand on that.

I'm a videographer, editor, and production manager with over fifteen years of experience making creative and engaging content. Over the course of my career I've worked in film and documentary, on marketing campaigns, for nonprofits and educational institutes, and much more. I love telling any kind of story, and my ability to make a piece stand out comes through whether you're an IT company wanting to show off cutting-edge software or a punk band who wants a guerilla music video.

In my off-time, I'm a nerd through and through. I design board games and short-form RPGs, collect books and records, and travel the country playing in Magic: the Gathering tournaments. I also love the outdoors and when I find the spare time I enjoy bouldering, hiking, camping, and kayaking. I've set up shop all over the country, but currently my home is in Albuquerque with my wife and our two dogs.

Something I love about my career is that whether I'm freelancing or full-time, I'm constantly surrounded by other creatives. Working in video is a group effort, and it's inspiring to collaborate with a team where we share different perspectives, help hone our skills, and push ourselves to make compelling, high quality content.
